Aesop products are renowned for their scents, but these are the pleasing by product of combining ingredients chosen for their effect on skin and hair. When creating fragrance, we enjoy the privilege of blending botanicals selected entirely for our pleasure. With our fragrances Marrakech and Mystra, we pay homage to places that have rich and complicated histories and sit in landscapes of great beauty. These are confident, unorthodox scents that can be worn by women and men year-round.
We have expanded our range of scents. Marrakech and Mystra are now available as eau de toilette (100mL, 50mL), parfum (10mL) and baume de parfum (10mL).
We hope you find the experience of wearing Aesop’s fragrances as rewarding as we find it to make them.
For Marrakech, we drew inspiration from a city cloaked in colours of the desert, where artisans work on rugs hewn by hand, and hot wind holds lute music and smells of the spice market. It is a city that has called to traders and travellers for thousands of years, a place where chaos and an ancient stillness coexist. Our interpretation led us to create a spicy fragrance with Clove, Sandalwood, and Cardamom.
Mystra was inspired by the Peloponnesian hillside town’s history of resilience, conquest and struggle, a place once home to French knights, despots, and monks. The ruins that sit there remind us of the depth and complexity of human experience. Accordingly, our fragrance is many layered, with startling notes that evoke Byzantium – Mastic, Frankincense, and Labdanum.
